Started from the necessity of finding a better way to fertilize plants, Growth Technologies’ Nitro-Mag is the first real innovation in fertilizer in more than 25 years. Company President Jeremy Henderson sees the potential to revolutionize the farming industry and is working with the best of the best to create a product line for farmers looking to create a healthier plant and  more yield.

 

Marcus Dennis, our Lead Agronomist is part of the team. He is a thought leader in the world of agriculture. He says his experience  and knowledge stems from innovative people in his life. One of those people being his father who tested plants and translated all his findings to the everyday farmer.

 

Dennis  soaked up all that knowledge that led to a light bulb moment in his garage years ago. He started experimenting with his wife’s blender to create the next big thing in the fertilizer world. Marcus says, “I didn’t know if it would work until I ran out to the garage, we all know great things happen in garages.” He blended ingredients that give the plant everything it needs to be the best plant it can be by mixing the highest form of nitrogen, magnesium, boron, chloride and humic acid. Next the product had to keep well so he experimented with leaving the mixture in the refrigerator overnight, then the freezer. All results led to the very first bottle of Nitro-Mag.

 

Dennis and Henderson have taken the product to Nebraska farmers to test the results. They have worked with well-known farmers and conducted test strips with third parties. Six years later Nitro-Mag results look promising. The end goal is to produce a product that contains everything the plant needs at an affordable price with high yields at the end of the season.

 

Company President Henderson looks forward to producing a superior product line for the farming community with their new facility opening 2024 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
